See us in there? Fresno County is more populated than the the whole bigass state of Wyoming.
My mind did not first go to making fun of Wyoming, it went to “Wow, we could be spread out through a whole state?! How glorious. So much room for activities.”
Plus, less likely to run into some Clovis yutz at Wyoming River Park.
Anywhoooo, Let’s Rage
Saturday is the day to look out for.
It’s the unofficial (or it’s totally official, I dunno) pot enthusiasts holiday, 420 Day.
AND it’s Record Store Day, the biggest single-day music event on planet Earth (actual fact), where most of the record stores across the planet celebrate music and sell special releases of albums and everything (except tapes this year, sadly).
So, Saturday morning will be focused on Record Store Day as there will likely be people sitting out all night or getting there HELLA early in the morning, waiting for those special releases.
Places for that being:
Ragin Records
Tower District Records
Maybe that place on Blackstone that used to be Copland’s Sports that has the stuff that used to be the Bay Area record store chain that used to be Tower Records but not the original Tower Records that was in the Northgate Shopping Center but the one further North on Blackstone that was kinda by the original Toys R Us.
Then later in the day, 420 starts taking over
Fresno’s first dispensary, The Artist Tree, has already started having specials and is planning a 420 celebration in the parking lot on Saturday.
And now that we have several dispensaries throughout town, including the Tower, there will be “relaxing” deals and fun things, all day.
And to get back to RSD, don’t be intimidated by Record Store Day. You don’t need to be there when the doors open if you don’t have a specific release you are looking to buy. Just slip in (like I do) after the initial morning push calms itself, and check out what is left.
It’s a fun day to celebrate indie music stores, you don’t have to get hardcore to enjoy it.
It will be a great to just celebrate alt culture in Fresno. And it’s not supposed to rain for once.
Thank you for reading. Have fun partaking and recording Fresno things this week and I’ll talk to you later.

Looking forward to Saturday record deals
Don’t forget Embarc was also open in Fresno on the first day. They have amazing specials for 420!
