Hi. Hope you had a good Fourth and survived the relentless assault of M80s going off all night long.
I want to report to you some Fresno food and drinks I enjoyed recently:
Randy’s Donuts. Great donuts (like everyone has, but still), happy it’s finally open. I like it’s open in the evening. Too bad the City wouldn’t allow them to put a bigger donut sign on the front.
Mad Duck NW. I dig their all-day happy hour on Tuesdays. The beers. The soups.
Pismo’s. I sat at the bar and ordered a soup flight and a beer. Is this odd or cool? I don’t know.
Out Of The Barrel. The central location in Fig Garden is what does it for me. The beer is good too.
Gazebo Gardens. There is a corn dog truck there sometimes, and that’s rad. Beer bar is cool too.
Overheard In Fresno
One of the most Fresno things ever, a person ordering a beer at Out Of The Barrel with their friends at the bar asks their group (on a typical hot day) “Can we sit outside? It’s too cold in here."
Probably a Fresno native, for sure.
Respect To This:
Came upon this dog walker station in Old Fig at Van Ness & Sussex. Love when people do stuff like this.
Anyways, thank you for reading. Hope you enjoy what’s left of the weekend and have a great week. Take care.
-Mike
