Hi. I am late posting this week but not too late to let you know about the coolest two things to do this weekend.

By the way, I don’t mean this newsletter to be an event listing place, it’s just been working out like that - too many Fresno things to be doing is all.

Porchfest is Saturday!!

After I got done rolling my eyes about the bigger-than-normal Costco getting approved at Herndon & Riverside (RIP one of Fresno’s last fog-producing fields), I started processing all the music acts at Porchfest in the Tower on Saturday.

But I will give you the basic premise: People living in the Tower District, on Saturday, have (well, had since you would have already needed to sign up your porch) the option of letting a band or musician of some sort, play in their front yard, driveway or (you guessed it) porch.

You walk, ride, trolly or drive around, enjoying as much local music as you can take, all free (but be ready to buy some merch if you can).

Roughly 250 acts will be out there. Impossible to see everything. That brings us to the rough part: deciding where and when to be. Take a look at the map and try to sort out where to go; it’s overwhelming - but in a good way, it’s a really fun map to spend some time with. Hope I see you out there.
