I could easily give you the good stuff.
The stuff I pay for with my Fresno Bee subscription. The stories I read unencumbered while you hit a paywall and try to sneak your way around to see.
I could just give you that here or on The Fresnan. But I won’t. Too much respect for what the Fresno Bee does for the community to subvert their subscription model.
But can I REALLY do that? Legally?
Can blogs and newsletters post the meat from pay-walled stories from the Bee or New York Times or whatever?
In the old days of Fresno blogging you’d get dragged out into the virtual street and shammed for not properly linking or acknowledging another writer’s post.
Then there would be, yes, say it with me: a BLOG WAR!
So, yeah, I won’t be posting or newsletter-ing the juice from a Joshua Tehee or Bethany Clough story, as tempting as it may be.
I will link to stories though. Which is what anybody that posts things to the Internet wants.
Olive Is Gonna Be Crazy
Look at that. That is the front of the Revue on Olive in the heart of the Tower District. All down the core spine of the Tower District they are replacing parking stalls with patios. Thanks?…COVID?
I feel like it’s going to get pretty wild at night. You’ll be sitting right on top of Olive:

Is Bobby’s going to get its own patio where you can drink? What about Fresbrew? Sequoia’s? If so, Tower District is a whole new open air ballgame, one like we have never seen before in Fresno.
Bless your rowdy heart, Tower District, things are about to be …fun?
What The Hell Is Even Happening?
You may be reading this thinking “I don’t remember signing up to something called Fresno! Fresno! so how is my inbox doing this to me?
Well, you might have signed up to The Fresnan’s “future newsletter” then forgot about it. Guess what? The future is now and I changed the name to “Fresno! Fresno!” because it’s more fun.
I’d like this to be a weekly brief (or sometimes long) look at things I thought were interesting that happened within my Fresno bubble. Then release that every Sunday or Monday morning.
Fingers crossed I’m able to manage my writing time wisely and meet that goal. And fingers crossed that you will want stick around for the ride.
