Yeah, I gotta say, I did a little “Wait, what? In Clovis? They allowed that?” when I heard a new Vallarta market is going to open up at Shaw & Villa.

I guess they figure Villa and Shaw is far enough away from their normal Clovis way of life that they can allow it.

It kinda pisses me off, actually - Clovis appropriating Fresno’s cool Mexican stuff? It doesn’t feel right. Fuck them.

And About That Clovis Backyard Bar…

This pissed me off as well; a cool looking and unique beer bar opening in CLOVIS! STOP LETTING CLOVIS GET COOL THINGS, KARMA!!

But wait. The opening of the bar is on hold as Clovisians fight it. If you’ll excuse me for a moment I need to 🤣😂🤣

Yeahhh, I mean, it’s not funny but it’s also very funny.

Sorry to the folks trying to open it up, for realz, they are good people - but it does amuse the heart to know that a new, cool concept, beer bar, can’t open right now because Clovisians are protesting it.

Anywayyyyy, what else has been going on?

Yeah, I know it’s been hot. But the days are getting shorter every day, which brings the bomb patio weather. The night swimming is excellent too, if you can find it.

I just wait until the sun’s light is almost nothing (most of the mosquitos go away by then) and hang out on the patio to listen to a lot of crickets, people hot-rodding Fresno streets and watch Space do its thing - I usually spot 4 to 5 satellites in about a 20-minutes (not to brag or nothin’).

BTW, are we bad for mosquitoes? Like, is Fresno above average? It feels like we are below but anywhere else I go in the summer I don’t think about mosquitoes.

Well, anyway, just something I was thinking about, no plans to do any real research so if you have any data, please leave it in the comments.

So, I’ll let you go. We’ll talk more about the Bullard area’s Foster Freeze closing next time.
