Scrolling Instagram I came upon a Dale Stewart post about a new re-issue from a band I (think) have never heard of until now called The Subtractions.
Why should I care if I am not familiar with this band? Well, I saw these things:
It’s a cassette (cassettes are super cool at the moment).
Each one is hand numbered.
Limited edition of 150 tapes.
Fresno’s first gigging hardcore band.
$12 straight up.
That is enough info for this collector. Fire up the Paypal account. You can check it out here.
File under: Bought.
By the way, even if you don’t buy anything, Dale Stewart’s Stage Dive Records page is a guide to Fresno’s punk and hardcore history that is worth checking out.
Two Links To Things I Don’t Like
1. Benaddiction is getting a new place! Cool FINALLY! The Bullard & Marks location is so so tiny! We have been waiting for this for years, they finally found a bigger NW Fresno spot, when is… wait… oh hell, the new location is in NE Fresno in the Country Club District (my name, copyright ME). Well that’s a hard suck. At least they are not closing the Bullard one.
2. According to the Fresno Bee as well, FTK has opened up a new shop! Super rad! I remember that Blackstone & Shaw spot, this will be cool and…[reads article]… oh no... not again. It’s where!? Downtown CLOVIS!? Go fuck off with that. #SeeYouNever

Earthquake FOMO
When the earthquake came through I didn’t feel it. I was driving down Highway 99 where it continuously feels like there’s an earthquake.
It’s always a little disappointing when an earthquake happens and you don’t feel it.
Admit it, when they aren’t real big, they are kind of exciting. So when the rest of town says they felt it and you didn’t, you feel left out.
Maybe the next one 🤞
Well, Thanks For The Read!
I wish this issue was a little bulkier, but I always wish that. Besides, I’m sure you have things to go do. Pat yourself on the back for getting through several 110 degree + days.
In case you missed it, Joshua Tehee and I have a new Flowing With Famous episode out for July if you are looking for some Fresno listening.
Stay off the asphalt and be safe out there!

No I Didn’t Feel It
Dale Stewart also has some cool stuff on you tube. He posted a song from my old band Avenue playing on the Valley Grown album. https://youtu.be/EVDfSw6IZ7M I joined the band on keys after this song was put out.
Hi Mike, Great edition as always. I'm feeling the heat, but trying to stay out of it. Going to tune into Flowing in a little bit. Have a great week.
