No Park. No River. No Shade. All Suck.

River Park has torn out the center with the grass and trees (the fountain had been taken out some time ago).

You know this can’t be good. Shopping centers don’t tear out grass and trees to add more grass and trees.

Which is what everyplace in Fresno needs more of: green stuff and shade.

There is a rumor they are constructing a stage. Normally I’d dig that but not there and not over trees and grass.

Whatever is happening, I’m going to take a wild guess that they will be constructing something that will make them more money, over a nice place to hangout.

Hopefully I am wrong. I usually am. 🤞

Old Fresno Thing Of The Week: Penny Candy

For those younger than I, this is Penny Candy. A shop (still?) on Blackstone, South of Shields. Think of it as a local, very grimy, Spencer’s Gifts.
