Finally, Fresno has its own monolith! It’s freaking about time.
This one mysteriously popped up right in the middle of Fresbrew, on Olive in the Tower. I hope the beer bar’s insurance has monolith coverage.
Fog Appreciation Month
Fog is obviously bad for driving, but it’s otherwise kinda cool. We had a foggy day on Tuesday, not as many as there used to be, and I wanted to stop and acknowledge that.

This FEELS Like A Fresno Tweet

You’re Smoking Us Out
What’s up with Fresnans having fire pits and lighting fires in the fireplace when it drops below 65!?
This isn’t flipping Fargo, people!
I hate the cold more than anybody, I can’t wait for Spring to get here. But really, it’s a FRESNO Winter. Thick socks, a hoodie, and you’re pretty well covered for inside living.
And hey, I like fires, they are fun. It’s nice when it’s raining, or on Christmas. You know, times like that.
But last week we had a rainy day followed by a bad air day:
I assume because of your damn wood burning stoves and fire-pits and shit.
I’m sure there are a handful of folks that can only afford to buy wood to heat their place. Which, okay, if that REALLY is your only option.
But for most of us, fires are a fun luxury that needs to stop, unless it’s actively raining.
We live in a car & truck infested bowl, we can’t afford to spew exhaust everywhere AND light fires.
Still AAA In Our Soul
Fresno is now a Single A baseball town. Something that sucks but also something we can get through because the Fresno Grizzlies are damn good no matter the team affiliation or level of baseball.

New Local Newsletter Alert!
My boy Josh Tehee of the Fresno Bee is reviving the old Bankgeek brand, for a new newsletter about Fresno area music. Bandgeeeek.Substack.com will be a must read for me.
The first issue (among other things) touches on this new/old local compilation called “Dead Nostalgia” that I’m currently obsessed with (album cover above).
Thanks for the read! Since Christmas is next week (Oh crap! What am I getting my folks!?), I doubt there will be an issue of Fresno!Fresno!
Maybe a post on the blog if I’m feeling festive and junk.
Happy Holidays! Stay safe and in your Corona Bubble. Drink and be merry!
