The City of Fresno put up string lights in the Brewery District on Fulton. Nice. I haven’t seen them yet but it looks cool enough. Good job everyone and things.
Not a big deal but… when I look at the picture, a sore thumb for me (and this is brought up in the Instagram post) are the parklets.
Obviously great and needed during COVID. And I love the idea of patios instead of parking stalls. But a lot of them are looking hokey at this point.
Not picking on Fulton Street, I mean all over, Tower too.
At some point someone has to be the bad guy and be like “Okay, bros, what are we doing here?”
Maybe the City can find some money for businesses to make permanent patios? Kinda like how they were able to improve the facades of some local businesses? 🤷🏻♂️
Props to Fresno’s own Monster City Studios for creating the helicopter in the ad being displayed on Sunset Blvd (pictured above) for the new Beverly Hills Cop movie coming out next month.
Nice work, Adam!
Anyways, just checking in with you. Hope you’re doing alright. We’ll talk later.

It’s past time for them to be removed! As I pointed out on Instagram, they were supposed to be temporary during the pandemic. The pandemic ended a long time ago and so should the parklets. However the City doesn’t have the guts to buck the entertainment industry in downtown and the Tower. It’d rather harass the homeless instead.
I hate the parklets. They are an eyesore and take away much needed parking space. Time for them to go.
