The Fresno Grizzlies announced they will be taking part in a new MiLB initiative called The Nine -
In honor of @MiLB's announcement of The Nine, a new initiative to celebrate, engage and welcome black fans, we are proud to unveil our Fresno Tigers Tribute jerseys! These pay homage to the 1946 West Coast Negro League baseball team and will make their on-field debut on 6/24!
I will be hella needing one of the Fresno Tigers hats, thanks:
Speaking of announcements, the Fresyes Fest has a date (March 26th) and Rogue Festival has a fresh look and dates too (starts March 4th):
-🤞 fingers crossed the Pandemic gets lighter by then so both events can be as awesome as they normally are.
Spicy Birdz Has Entered The Chicken Chat
Not that Fresno needed another chicken option but I would like to recommend, Spicy Birdz at 7070 N West (next to The Market). Had it the other day and the whole house thought it was excellent.
Is it time to add chicken sandwiches (after tacos and tri-trip, of course) as food that Fresno is king of?
New Downtown Brewery Alert!
Since Clovis has been taking much of the brewery momentum away from Fresno and some of the current ones have had to deal with things like fires, it’s nice to hear some positive news. South Of Shaw Brewing is now open in the Culture Arts District of Downtown Fresno, in the Peerless Building!
They also have a food element (pizzas and such) which lets them have guest-taps: aka draft beer available that they don’t make. #SuperStoked 🍺
Fresno Trolley Twitter
That @FresYas tweet produced one fine ass little map by Dan Zack:
I love that a cemetery route was included and, it appears, went through Roeding Park? - maybe it wasn’t a thing yet? Either way, that would/would’ve been rad to be on a trolley going through the park.
Fresno Playlisting
Since Spotify has become problematic to use, it is time to check alternative listening options. Joshua Tehee found one called Bandcamper [BNDCMPR] that lets you build playlists of music featured on Bandcamp (a streaming/music download site that actually respects musicians).
He has several local playlists you can check:
And A Good “Fresno” To You!
Hope things are going alright for you. Thanks for reading and subscribing and doing all the things. Be safe!

Point of clarification. The BNDCMPR playlist doesn't archive. It's a single playlist that gets updated every few days with whatever I am feeling at the time. Once it's done, it is done.
