There Is Too Much To Do In Fresno and I Find It Exhausting
Still waiting for our shoutout all these years later
I am still not over it.
It’s been 28 years and I am still not over the fact that Fresno was not mentioned in the 2Pac, Dr. Dre “California Love” song. When that came out, it was a waiting game. Just kept listening and thinking,,,
Ohhhh, yeah, he is about to say “Fresno, where ya at?!” right …HERE …. no, right …HERE! noooo
But it never happens. Sacramento got one (two even). Frisco. Long Beach. Pasafuckingdena.
What the hell!?
We are the West.
We know how to party.
We are In California.
We keep it rockin’.
Why did we not get a mention? That sucked.
Over at
, Josh gave out the shows to look for this month in Fresno.Pretty damn cool that Grammy winning metal dudes, High on Fire, will be at Fulton 55 on Friday - Josh reports that it’s been ten years since we have seen them in Fresno.
Find some tickets over here.
And on Sunday, Downtown at the Fresno Convention Center, San Diego’s drama metal band, Piece the Veil, is playing a, long sold-out, show - but there are plenty of re-sale tickets available here.
Get your sing-along chops ready.
And let’s not forget Saturday’s Boise State at Fresno State football game
A continuous thread through oh these many years of people complaining that “There is nothing to do in Fresno.” always get exposed as boring people, when you dig slightly below the surface.
I am just highlighting two meaningful metal/rock shows this weekend and don’t even have time to get into anything else.
When people say there is nothing to do, I always think “So you don’t like eating, or music, or sports, or theater, or doing things outside, or?…”
There are too many things, in my opinion.
I feel tings of guilt for what I missed out on, practically every Sunday evening here.
Someday I will move to a place with less to do so I can finally relax.
✌️🤟
Many Fresnan thanks for opening this up and reading. Please tell a local friend about this, if ya think about it.
Have fun with whatever you get into this weekend and we’ll talk later.

As always, great newsletter. There’s so much to do in Fresno and many have no idea. I keep trying to tell others that, but it usually falls on deaf ears!
