There was a jelly belly counter inside Bullard village drugs which was awesome and across the street in opus one was a Merle Norman makeup counter that I’m sure LOVED 12 year old girls collecting free samples. Good old days!
Lynn at Bullard Pharmacy was the Best pharmacist in town, hands down. I remember there was a Capizio or some Dancewear place by Opus I, I needed bloomers once.
I lived on Wilson just behind Mamma Mia‘s. In fact my friends and I had a underground fort where Mamma Mia is now. They’re used to be a soft serve ice cream place where the car wash is now. And for the old time kids 7-Eleven was called Speedy’s for some reason we never called 7-Eleven even though it was.
What I enjoy most about the newsletter is that for me not being from Fresno, this gives me the history I want to know. Thanks Mikey!
