Look at that tragic husk of a burger joint. The old Palm & Bullard Foster Freeze closed in favor of another Starbies. Not long ago it looked like this: But now awaits its Starbucks shell. Progress? Nah, bro. (Side thought: It would have been nice to have been around when they removed all that brick so I could have snaked one as a keepsake. Dang.)
I’ve only lived in Fresno since 2006 and that sign reminds me of a few like that back in Rhode Island where I went to college and both Boston and New York where I grew up and worked. It brought back fond memories. Plus when I first moved here I used it as a guide of learning my way around. Sure going to miss it!!!
