Happy for McLane/Mayfair District to get something new and useful. I know Fresno gets too pumped for chains, but every town does. Yes, every town. You think there wouldn’t be a line for this in Oakland or Los Angeles or Sacramento? There would.
Hell, Dutch Bros comes from Oregon. You’d think they would be the ‘kings of no chains’ but there is a Dutch Bros all over the damn place, and they always busy AF, so why not?
I get frustrated too when Fresno doesn’t support its local version of something over a chain. It. Sucks.
But when the right chain hits the right spot in town, it’s cool. Enjoy your tasty sugar drinks, Mayfair District.
By the way: If there is a good locally owned drink place around McLane High you think deserves a shoutout, please leave a comment so we can bump them up.

All this chain talk got me thinking, what Fresno restaurant would make a good chain? What would be your top pick to work outside of Fresno?
(I would include Dog House and places like that but I am going for a higher-end sit-down place for this poll.)
Okay. Thanks for reading. Would love it if you could subscribe if you haven’t already. Have a nice rest of your week.

If you count Annex, Annesso is kind of already a chain. Best restaurants in town by far though, though Pismo's is pretty good too. Dutch Bros is for weird babies who drink milkshake coffees, imo, though I'm happy for them to enjoy their drive thrus and not clog up the 4-5 good coffee shops here.
Calling where the new Dutch Brothers is Mayfair is a bit of a stretch. That site was the McLane Super Market for many years, so it would be more accurate to describe the area as the McLane neighborhood.
